Ugandan Human Right Lawyer/Activist Felicitates With Ugandan Muslims On Ramadan, Urges Them To Embrace Unity As One.

Barrister Nyanjura Doreen, a senior lawyer and a Kampala based Human Right Activist in Uganda, felicitates with Ugandan Muslims Nationalists on the day of Eid-al-Fitr, preaching about unity and peace as part of the objectives of fasting during Ramadan.

In her Facebook on the 2nd day of May she wrote;

As Muslims throughout Uganda and around the world celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, I extend my warmest wishes to them and their families.

This last month has been a time of fasting, reflection,spiritual renewal and service to the less fortunate. While Eid marks the completion of Ramadan, it also celebrates the common values that unite us in our humanity and reinforces the obligations that people of all faiths have for each other, especially those impacted by poverty, conflict, disease and political persecution in our country.

A time of rejoicing and celebrating this Eid in particular also reminds us of our shared responsibility to work for a better future for all Ugandans especially in the wake of hiking prices of essential commodities and fuel. Let us all rededicate ourselves to realizing this crisis and devote selflessly to fighting the Junta until we regain power back to the population.

Let all join our hands to thank Allah for this wonderful day to pray, care, love, smile and celebrate with one another. Eid Mubarak!
